I was in awe of the costumes, sets and at times stunning cinematography. I also enjoyed the acting, especially from Lily-Rose Depp, who I'd never seen before in a film but thought she was fantastic. Everyone else did a fine job too, especially Defoe.
I really didn't get scared at all, which is a shame when you're watching a horror film. There were really no terrifying momments that I can recall. I've given it a two, as it did have a bit of a foreboding atmosphere.
Giving it a 7 as some aspects of this film I completely adored, such as the costumes, sets, and cinematography. It was like a peice of art sometimes, a peice of really beautiful art.
The music added to the foreboding atmosphere
Absolutely beautiful. The scene with hoult in the forest was stunning. Throughout the film a great use of lighting.
