My dad took me to see it when it first came to the cinemas in Cheltenham, England, way back in the late 70's. Back then it was like nothing else I'd ever seen or experienced, truly captivating and magical. For those few hours I was literally taken to another galaxy, and it felt real - the characters, the landscapes, the space stations, the robots and creatures. I believed in Star Wars, as a place, and I wanted to be there, be part of it. I was instantly in love, and I left that cinema in a daze.
