This was a strange one. Some elements were good, and early on I was feeling that unique atmosphere that these films are known for, and it really felt like it was building up to something great. It had that unique '28' feel to it, dark, gritty, hard-hitting and that feeling that something fucked up was going to happen to scare the fucking shit out of me. However, as the movie continued, that feeling dwindled until it was gone, and the film became more of an adventure than a horror. There were also a few things I felt that cheapened it and followed in the way of recent disappointments like Alien Romulus, it was quite laughable, though I didn't laugh cause I was so pissed with what the film makers had done. Nevertheless, I did manage to switch of my disappointment and simply enjoy it for what it was, and my wife was watching it too and we hadn't watched a movie together for a long time, so I was determined to enjoy it with her. She definitely liked it, a lot more than me.

A couple of decent scares, but nothing that memorable
A bit daft with the whole alpha thing, and it felt like a bit of a rip off of I Am Legend (2007) in that respect. Also some very unrealistic decisions by characters, that just wouldn't happen and that really pisses me off. Oh, and the group of Jimmy Saville lookalikes pulling off power ranger moves was one of those WTF moments. I really didn't know wether to laugh or cry. I'm still scratching my head now.
Good sound design but the music didn't grab me
Pretty good. Some great shots and angles adding some quality to the movie.
Not a great deal, and nothing to make you go wow.
